WWE's "Hell in A Cell" event was a huge success, thanks to the memorable matches that happened.
John Cena Vs ????
Some of the interesting matches that happened was John Cena's U.S. Open challenge wherein he invited anyone who wants to fight him for the United States Championship belt. Who took on the challenge? It was no other than former champion and returning WWE star Alberto Del Rio.
The match was nothing short of exciting as Cena and Del Rio exchanged blows. The U.S. champ went for the Attitude Adjustment but Del Rio was quick and nailed a Backstabber followed by a kick to a face, beating John Cena and winning the U.S. Championship. It was a quick and successful return for Del Rio as his return was just announced last week and now he is already the new U.S. Champ.
The New Day Vs The Dudley Boyz
The New Day versus The Dudley Boyz for the WWE Tag Team Championship is also a match worth noting according to IGN. Even without Xavier Woods at the ringside, the current tag team champions still managed to retain their gold belts versus the tag team veterans.
Near the end of the match, Kofi Kingston went-in for an Eddie Guerrero-esque fake DQ finish by trying to make the referee think Bubba used the trombone as a weapon. However, the match kept going and eventually, The New Day won.
Seth Rollins Vs Demon Kane For The WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Of course, no WWE pay-per-view is complete without the WWE Wold Heavyweight Championship right? Last night, it was current champion Seth Rollins versus Demon Kane.
It was a rather slow match at first but picked up quite nicely toward the end when Rollins brought out a table spot and power bombed Demon Kane with it.
As reported by Wrestle Zone, Rollins won and retained his WWE World Championship title. As for Kane, it's only the start of his woes because there are reports saying that he will also be relieved of his position as the WWE's Director of Operations.
Brock Lesnar Vs The Undertaker - Part 3
But the biggest event in WWE's "Hell in A Cell" has to be the last match between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar.
According to Forbes, Lesnar was out to avenge his controversial loss to the Deadman last Summer Slam. WWE fans are saying that this is probably the best match of the Undertaker-Lesnar trilogy and they are absolutely right.
After a lengthy session, Lesnar went in for the low-blow and an F5 which took out the last consciousness of the Undertaker. And after the match, praises were pouring and Taker was given a standing ovation by the Los Angeles crowd....until the Wyatt family appears and beat him up.
Is this the beginning of a new feud? Catch it on the upcoming episode of WWE Raw!
