Lara Croft can now be played on a whole new level.
However, you don't actually control Lara. Instead, you can watch people play her latest game, "Rise of The Tomb Raider."
As reported by Forbes Twitch lets viewers control certain elements of Lara Croft's fate in the game. In addition to that, if you are watching on the Xbox One Twitch app, you will also be showered with rewards.
Here's how it works: Choose to play any "Expedition Mode" variant and random pairs of Expedition Cards will pop up during your play through. Then, viewers can now vote on which card they want to activate, in which the resulting effect will continue for 5 minutes or at least until the player dies.
These modes are basically modifiers that can usher either in chaos or just good ol' fun. Among those are the "Big Head Mode" which is pretty much self-explanatory or the "Time Quake" which creates bubble of slowed time around an enemy killed with a headshot.
On the other hand, some of the cards that the viewers can choose will make the player's enemies or Lara get stronger or grant her certain useful buffs.
According to Engadget, Xbox One viewers will receive 500-in game credits when a streamer triggered a certain event in "Rise of The Tomb Raider's" campaign. Those events include side missions, challenges, challenge tombs, crypts and even special achievements.
Obviously, those credits can be used by the viewer to buy "Expedition Card Packs" mentioned above, which also contains weapons and outfits for "Expedition Mode."
It is noted that Twitch viewers must redeem their in-game credits within 30 days of receiving them, and they can be found under the "Gift" section of the game's main menu.
But if you would rather play the game itself rather than watch, that's okay too because according to Mashable, "Rise of The Tomb Raider" is arguably the best adventure Lara Croft has been so far.
According to pundits, the game perfectly combines well-written insights into Lara Croft with amazing tight-action sequences, set in a beautiful and even dangerous locales.
Simply put, the latest "Tomb Raider" game is the perfect incarnation of an action movie made into a game.
Moreover, Lara's latest adventure is nothing short of legendary as the player will never get tired of spending his time navigating varied and wild terrains, seeking the so called "Divine Source."
What's more? The game's physical mechanics are perfectly matched by astonishing in-game cinematography. And that alone is a definite reason to play the "Rise of The Tomb Raider."
The game is already released on the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One and retails for $50. The PC version and PlayStation 4 will be released on 2016.
