Kate Walsh 'Moves On' From 'Grey's Anatomy,' Shares Heartbreaking Story Of Not Having Kids

Kate Walsh who played Dr. Addison Montgomery in "Grey's Anatomy" and its spin-off "Private Practice" said she has "moved on" from Shonda Rhimes' ABC hit medical drama.
Kate Walsh's "Grey's Anatomy" character, Dr. Addison Montgomery has been with the show for 9 long years. For avid fans of the TV series, she's best known as the ex-wife of Patrick Dempsey's Dr. Derek Shepherd and the thorn in the MerDer relationship.
Fans have wondered why Kate Walsh did not make an appearance at the funeral of McDreamy in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11. Is there a bad blood between her and showrunner Shonda Rhimes?
The 48-year-old actress told Hollywood Life she and Rhimes are "tight." Kate Walsh went on to explain that she would love to work with the "Grey's Anatomy" creator again, but, she felt that Dr. Addison Montgomery was a "great role" for her to play and "as an actress, it's important to move on."
I’m looking for the next thing I want to do. I’m looking to do a play in New York. I’m looking to do the next series. And that’s sort of where I’m at with it. But again, I’m thrilled people loved it and she became such an iconic character," the "Private Practice" alum ended.
Kate Walsh currently promotes her team up with Boston Market to make "holiday hacks" that makes use of the restaurant's delectable home style sides as the base.
In the meantime, the "Grey's Anatomy" alum shared her heartbreaking story of not being able to have children. The talented actress revealed her having babies biologically will not be possible anymore as she has gone through the stages of early menopause.
Perez Hilton reported the California beauty talked about her experience on SiriusXM. Kate Walsh said, "I don't have children. I'm not going to have kids. I went through early menopause. That happened."
She's not sure though of what caused the early onset of menopause and added that it could be the pill or the effect of the environment.
The "Bad Judge" star disclosed she was motivated to make an appointment with her health care provider when her older sister had the same experience. She confessed that when she found out the result she was saddened.
"It was bleak. But that was a great kind of experience and growth. I've always felt I've been, at times in my life, indecisive or have hard times making decisions. I go for what I want and I also embrace what's in front of me," as per Daily Mail.
