In a world awash with gossips and controversies, it's no surprise that even Kate Middleton became the constant target of rumors and speculations about her life as a part of the royal family. But while the Duchess of Cambridge is just trying to live a life close to normal as possible, traditionalists resent her modernizing and democratizing ways as the product of her "middleclass" upbringing.
Ever since Kate Middleton resumed her royal duties and responsibilities, the curious public paid more interest in everything that she do. While the Duchess and her husband Prince William push towards a more modern way of life, less encased in the rigid rules of court life, tradition and protocol, Kate, however, fell victim to negative publicities and nasty rumors. And here are the 3 over-the-top accusations thrown at her.
1. Kate Middleton is allegedly making Queen Elizabeth II furious for disobeying and snobbing old traditions.
There have been several reports that claimed a feud between Duchess Kate and the Queen. But the latest trigger of gossip has to do with the royal Christmas celebration. While it is a well-staged and formal affair since Victorian times, Kate decided to put her own imprint on the event. According to Forbes, Christmas night for the royals has long been associated with antiquated traditions, starched clothes, church service and not much fun for the kids.
Last year, however, Prince William and Kate decided to loosen things up, giving Prince George a more "normal" celebration. So instead of returning to Sandringham for lunch after the religious service, they went home to Anmer Hall to open gifts and have a festive meal with Kate's family. This year they plan to do something similar, with Princess Charlotte joining them.
Due to these changes, Kate Middleton was accused of ruining Christmas for the Queen, as per Hollywood Gossip.
2. Kate Middleton is reportedly at war with Camilla Parker-Bowles and Countess Sophie of Wessex.
Aside from the Queen, Duchess Kate has also been accused of having a rift with the Duchess of Cornwall over power and monarchical duties once the Queen plans to retire, as previously reported. While the rift with Countess Sophie of Wessex was allegedly brought by the Countess' speech at the 100 Women in Hedge Funds dinner in New York City where she subtly criticized the Duchess' non-existent employment history.
3. Kate Middleton's royal revolution and constant but silent reform of protocol
Recently, there has been a new wave of negative Katemania when two adorable photos of Princess Charlotte were published via social media as a gesture of gratitude from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Unfortunately, the move has allegedly disgusted the Queen, blaming Kate for her commoner ways and middleclass influence.
Even though it is not the first time the royal couple choose the Internet to personally share an intimate moment of their lives to their subjects and admirers, citing the images of Prince George and Princess Charlotte that came a few weeks after the latter's birth, it completely displeased the Queen as she kept on revolutionizing the royal family, as previously reported.
While Kate Middleton and Prince William only wanted to convey humility, traditionalist accused them of continuous disobedience of the royal protocol, even dragging the Duchess' upbringing into the rumors.
In other news, the festive season has begun and the royals joined in the celebration. Inquisitr reported Kate Middleton and Prince William joined the family in a holiday merry-making over the weekend. The royal couple even got cozy under the mistletoe, where they sipped a hot drink and smooched like the adorable lovebirds.
Moreover, the whole family also had a group selfie taken by the Queen. Seems interesting huh? In fact, it was quite entertaining especially if the whole scene was just a spoof photo shoot taken at a high street Costa Coffee in London and participated by the look-alikes of the royal family.
