Nikki Bella has been sidelined from the ring for over two months now due to her sustained injury. Apparently her recovery might take longer than we expected.
Total Divas' favorite Nikki Bella last wrestled on Oct 26 at the RAW edition, where she reportedly got her back and neck injuries. While she's recovering, several reports surfaced that her recuperation might take longer than expected.
According to the latest update from WhatCulture, Bella is currently resting but also awaiting an evaluation -- if she needs neck surgery to repair the bulging disc. The assessment on her condition is expected to be released by the end of January. Alas, if surgery is required, this could only mean her return will take few more months.
Although it's still unclear what really caused her neck injury, several reports noted that it was likely due to her using her finishing move, the Rack Attack. However, there are some ongoing speculations that her injury was just part of an upcoming storyline on the new season of the top series, Total Divas.
Either way, this is really heartbreaking, seeing Nikki with an injury, considering the fact that she is one of the best female wrestlers and consistent performer in the Divas division.
Meanwhile, while Nikki is still nursing her injury, fans still showed that she greatly reigns their heart. After fans cast their votes, Bella and her long time beau, John Cena took home the 2015 Slammy Awards.
During Monday Night Raw, Nikki Bella was announced as the winner of WWE Diva of the Year while her other half, who is the 15 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Cena took home the award for The Hero In All of Us Award.
The awards are based on the fan votes, so, it is crystal clear that aside from reigning the wrestling ring, these two are still people's favorite.
