When you were a kid, or an adult with a child-like fantasy, did you ever wonder how great it would be to own your own Transformers truck? Well, here's your chance. You can have your own ultimate robotic hero like Optimus Prime if you have a hefty wallet.

But hold on a minute, these trucks won't transform into the robots we know and love. What's being sold are actualy the trucks used in the stunts associated with the Transformers movie franchise.

A modified 1992 Peterbilt 379 used to double Optimus Prime's truck profile will be auctioned off alongside Bumblebee's classic 1967 Chevrolet yellow Camaro.

The Camaro is built with modern parts such as a fuel injected Corvette-sourced V8 engine with a sturdy 9 inch Ford rear.

In addition to the Bumblebee Camaro, the car is also signed by the movie's director and current owner, Michael Bay.

The truck includes the custom bumper and paint that describes Optimus Prime as well as blacked-out windows and the Autobot logo on the grille. The Camaro that will be auctioned was the car used in the most recent Transformers movie.

Paramount Pictures has decided to auction both stunt car (doubles) at the Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 23 until the end of the month.

Barrett-Jackson is the world's greatest car auction event known for auctioning classic, antique and collector cars.

Steve Davis from Barrett-Jackson announced that auctioning the cars will be a success:

I'm confident that Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be a huge hit in Scottsdale.

The cars will be a collector's item for car enthusiasts and especially for Transformers fans, not only on the big screen but when they started out on TV screen as cartoons.

The vehicles are functional but may not be road-legal because they were built to be stunt doubles of the famous robot leads, reports have indicated.
