Luol Deng & Marco Belinelli have scored 22 points each as the Chicago Bulls have passed over the streaking New York Knicks, 93-85, on Saturday. The lost ended the Knicks five-game winning streak while the Bulls improved to an 11– 8 record as well as recording their first three-game streak of the season. Bellinelli also played a career-high 45 minutes and Deng helped lead the charge by scoring 10 points during the fourth quarter.
The Bulls are still without Derrick Rose who is out with an ACL injury. The Knicks also had a little injury problem of their own as Carmelo Anthony, their leading scorer, did not play due to a lacerated finger. The All Star forward missed his second straight game due to having stitches on his left hand’s middle finger.
Carlos Boozer chipped in with 12 points and 11 rebounds one night after he netted career-highs in both points (30) and rebounds (23) against the Pistons. Raymond Felton was the Knicks leading scorer with 27 points, but only made nine out of his 30 field goal attempts. The Bulls defense caused the Knicks to shoot an abysmal 32.1% from the floor, which is a season low for the club.
