Mayan Judgment Day Draws Near
By Staff Reporter | Dec 15, 2012 09:48 PM EST
Panic is beginning to spread as the date of the much talked about Mayan apocalypse draws near. Many people around the world are starting to worry about what might possibly happen on the 21st of December, the day when the 5,125 year Mayan calendar ends. Some say that this will definitely be the day when the world ends, while others think that it will simply usher in a new era of change.
Well whatever the case, December 21st is certainly causing quite a ruckus. In China and Russia, the fear of the impending Mayan doomsday has caused civilians to start rushing for supplies while America has seen a massive increase in the sales of safety shelters. There has also been a reported mass exodus in France where the fearful are supposedly trying to seek shelter in a mountain.
Despite the best attempts of several astronomers and government establishments in trying to soothe the fear of the masses, millions all over the world still believe that the December 2012 phenomena will indeed come to pass. With only a week remaining before the end of the Mayan calendar, the question still remains on whether or not life on earth will cease to continue come the 21st of December.
