Eating champ "El Wingador", William Simmons, who has won a chicken wing eating competition five times, have been charged with cocaine distribution, according to reports.
The South Jersey Times reports Simmons is charged with six counts of manufacturing or distribution of more than a half ounce and less than five ounces of the drug and two counts of manufacturing less than half an ounce.
The eating champ was arrested on June 15. At the time of his arrest, Simmons, 51, had more than $8,000 worth of cocaine and $4000 in cash in his possession.
"I know I'm not a bad person ... just a big dummy, and I'm asking not to be judged by this one thing," he said following his arrest.
"El Wingador" last won Philadelphia's Wing Bowl in 2005 when he gnawed through 162 chicken wings. Wing Bowl was started as a way for Philadelphia sports fans to blow off steam before the Super Bowl.
The Daily Mail reports that Simmons' indictment comes on the eve of the annual Wing Bowl where Simmons once ate 162 wings in 32 minutes.
