The "Real Housewives of New York City" star Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott are trying to make their marriage work again, according to Immortal.org.

During a recent appearance on Khloe Kardashian's "Kocktails with Khloe," Spelling spilled the beans about the current state of her relationship with McDermott. "My husband and I went through a very public infidelity scandal, and it changed everything - it really did, for the better. We had to start over. There was no way, because the relationship was totally broken and in pieces," she revealed regading her husband's cheating incident that was made public by the media back in 2013.

Spelling spoke about how some people in her life had mixed reactions about her decision to stay with her husband. While a lot of them called it a good move, others were shocked by it.

"People are like, 'Wow, that's so great, you stuck by him and worked through it,' and then some people are like, 'He's a cheater. I can't believe you wouldn't leave him!' And then they're like, 'Oh, it's because of the children.'" She added. Although, she also argued that the kids weren't her only motivation as to why she is trying to make things work in her marriage.

"I did account for the children, of course, but I also had to account for the love that I had for this man and the relationship we had and the life we had together. We had a life together, and I think because someone makes a mistake, it's really hard to just throw that all away," she said. "If they make the mistake again, then it's on you, I think, but we worked really hard to gain that trust back, and it's not easy. It's something we work through every day, and building it back, and we have now more of an open communication relationship together than we've ever had before."
