The upcoming movie of Channing Tatum, "Gambit" faces uncertainty with its production. It was speculated that "Deadpool 2" will replace the target date movie that was originally set for Tatum's first superhero film.
According to a post from Collider, "For a film that was set to anchor 20th Century Fox's post-Wolverine Marvel slate, "Gambit" is off to a bit of a rough start." To prove the latter, Fox has confirmed that the movie will move its release date, owing to various issues and hurdles.
It is highlighted that the movie faced different challenges. It all began when Rupert Wyatt, the director behind "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" left the helm because the production and time are not fully set.
Furthermore, even Channing Tatum was rumored to leave and follow Wyatt's lead due to the inconsistencies of the budget and other factors. According to the same post, "Gambit will no longer arrive in theaters on its planned October 7th release date, and while a new release date has not been announced, Fox has slated two mystery Marvel projects."
In addition, uncertain rumors have risen that "Deadpool 2" might replace "Gambit." Fox has also begun developing scripts for the X-Men spin-offs "X-Force" and "The New Mutants," according to Design & Trend.
With all of those hurdles at bay, Channing Tatum remains tight-lipped despite being the principal man that will bring "Gambit" to the big screen. Neither Fox nor the movie creators have also yet to comment whether "Deadpool 2" will replace the slated release of the X-Men hero into the big screen.
