The competition is rising between Apple Pay and Paypal and yet speculations have been noted that Apple Pay cannot weaken Paypal at all. It has also been noted that although the competition is strong, Paypal remain resilient and able to counter the hurdles of the industry.
According to a former report from The Street, "Apple has reported that it is expanding its mobile wallet beyond apps and into web browsers, but according to some analysts, PayPal should not worry at all."
The same report added on to note that Apple has been informing its prospective partners that Apple Pay would soon be accessible in its mobile iOS browsers and maybe even desktop browsers in the coming days.
Although it has not been affirmed yet, the mere idea of going head to head with Paypal has brought much tension for the company, for its investors and stakeholders as well.
To prove the latter, upon Apple's announcement of broadening their horizons, PayPal's shares have dropped to 4 percent and some have even feared that it will affect Paypal's overall business.
A former report from Jobs & Hire has mentioned, "Having Apple Pay as a competitor, both companies go head to head on providing services that will allure consumers to use their mobile application. Paypal has already acknowledged the formidable threat that Apple Pay has brought to their operations."
Indeed, for Paypal it is facing challenges on both sides, currently from Apple Pay and another looming threat is from American Express. It goes without saying that Paypal is one of the formidable forces in the online service payments and some have speculated that it is just a matter of time before Paypal succumbs to the pressure and rising competition of the business industry.
