Melissa McCarthy Wanted To Be A Fashion Designer

Everybody knows Melissa McCarthy as the famous comedienne in television sitcoms, movies and comedy stand ups like Saturday Night Live. But clearly, aside from making people laugh, she wanted to do something more.
When Melissa McCarthy launched her fashion and clothing line brand, called Seven7, no one would have guessed that she had a background in design. Figured women in all shapes and sized applauded the news in late 2014 when the comedienne released a line that caters to sizes 4 to 28. According to Bustle, the actress' clothes should be in your closet.
McCarthy wanted to make a line that would cater to a diverse group of women. She wanted a "size inclusive" brand. "It's a strange thing to stop at a certain size. Women don't, so why should clothes?" she exclaimed. She has always been vocal about her weight and it has reached a point where the talented "The Boss" lead figured that it's time to make her dreams come true.
Her dream of becoming a fashion designer started when she was young. It started during her elementary school days. "I'd lay on the floor, look through Vogue, and cut out patterns," she said. It was all she wanted to do. Her success in the industry made it possible for her to jumpstart her line.
Her brand is not only fashionable and size inclusive - she herself loves to wear every single product. She's not doing it for the publicity. It is clear that she loves her dream business. "This really is a selfish venture. I wanted to build a better closet for myself. I've worn every single piece," she told People Magazine.
Her line has also stirred up the plus-size fashion industry. And being a mom, she wanted to make sure her children feel positive about themselves.
