A two-faced kitten was born this week in an Oregon home.
Two-faced kittens are a rare find; they are named 'Janis cats' after the two-faced Roman god who also brought us the month January.
The little kitten named "Duecy" was rejected by its mother, and so the owner, Ms. Stephanie Durkee, took the cute two-faced kitten and fed her with a syringe, keeping her warm through a heating pad.
Cute Little Duecy was examined by a vet, and it seems that the two-faced kitten is not affected by her condition.
The owner claims that the two-faced kitten was born at "6:11 a.m. on 6/11 under the 'Gemini' astrological sign." Now an strong believer of astrology, she "can't help but wonder at the 'double' coincidences [surrounding the two-faced kitten's birth]."
The two-faced kitten was discovered by her children who "came in and said, 'Mom there's a kitty with two heads!' And I said, 'I think you guys are just tired, you're crazy, that doesn't happen.'"
A male two-faced kitten born in February last year was named "Harvey Dent" after the famous two-faced character in Batman. Unfortunately, this two-faced kitten did not survive for more than 3 days.
