Brielle Shooting Victim Clings to Life While in Critical Condition; Suspect, Believed to be Restaurant Owner, Currently in a Standoff with Police [VIDEO & REPORT]

An unidentified 35-year-old woman was shot once at around 2:55 A.M. at the Sand Bar Restaurant in Brielle, NJ early Tuesday morning.
The shooting occurred in the restaurant's parking lot. The woman was critically injured after a single shot was fired, striking her. Police have begun searching for a suspect. Residents of the area believe that the shooter may have been the owner of the Sand Bar.
News 12 New Jersey reports, "Police were knocking on doors near the Bay Point Harbor Condominiums in Point Pleasant Borough. Neighbors tell News 12 New Jersey the man police say they were looking for is the owner of the Sand Bar ... Police have not yet confirmed who was shot or the identity of the suspect. The victim was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with unspecified injuries."
Other sources say that no arrests have been made in the Brielle shooting. However, a law enforcement official has just confirmed that the suspect has barricaded himself in a house in Bay Point Harbor.
There is not yet any information regarding the relationship between the alleged shooter and victim, or a reason for why the shooting took place. Radio news station NJ 101.5 reported that the suspect has remained in the barricaded house for several hours. Police say he does not pose a threat to the residents along the road where the standoff is taking place.
