Working In SpaceX: Employees Love The Yogurt And The Free Food

Working at SpaceX may seem like rocket science but the company has some basics covered. It's sometimes as basic as food. While many young students, undergraduates and post-graduates would love to be interning or working in SpaceX, it pays to know what the company has to offer - outside of its usual competitive package.
If you're thinking about working in SpaceX, have you imagined what the work environment is like? Glassdoor had listed down a few reviews that can nudge you a little bit into applying especially if you love desserts - or rather, FREE desserts.
Employees found the environment hectic when it comes to working in SpaceX but they found it also enjoyable when subsidized meals, free coffees and drinks, makes their hours bearable. Their multi-planetary missions and visions make their jobs super laser target-focused but they also zoom in like a rocket towards the pantry when tea is served. Instead of having the usual water cooler conversation, you'd see engineers take a break at the coffee and tea stand, where a coffee barista hands you a hot cup of joe. And the subsidized meals aren't those pantry-boxed kind. One employee noted that it's a gourmet treat, calling it a "SpaceX swag." Having a chef-prepared meal is something to look forward to especially if you're working long hours everyday (which no one forces you to do actually). There's just so many things to do - and eat!
What most employees loved the most is the free and unlimited frozen yogurt. On a hectic day, a frozen treat is sweet for these guys. And sometimes, when they tackle super huge projects that would take years and months, they'd look up to find ice cream on their desks.
Positive reviews mention an awesome and very stimulating environment with great food but if you're not into the food then SpaceX also has on-site car washes, attraction discount tickets, commuter benefits, all medical or dental or vision benefits you need.
