Ruben Studdard will be competing for yet another win. This time, at a Biggest Loser competition.

The 34-year-old singer has signed onto the upcoming season of "The Biggest Loser" of NBC. The weight loss competition has run 14 seasons and is still hot on the tubes.

Ruben Studdard has always been fighting with his weight. Huffington Post reported him expressing his predicament. Studdard said that he did not think of being healthy as something important until he became 30-years-old. He blamed his condition on how he grew up in the South, in Birmingham, Alabama.

"So we used to eat everything. And still to this day I have a problem with sweets, which is something that I hope I can get control over in the near future. But everyone has different obstacles that they have to conquer and I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to conquer mine."

After Ruben Studdard won his victory at the American Idol in Season 2, the singer gained 100 pounds, and weighed a total 455 pounds.

He had became a vegetarian and lost 70 pounds, and continued to lose weight during his marriage to Surata Zuri McCants since 2008. However, after their divorce in 2012, he gained the weight back again.

Watch Ruben Studdard on October 8 in Season 15 of "The Biggest Loser" on NBC.
