After Suzy Favor Hamilton confessed her working as a high paid escort who reportedly engaged in sexual activity, the Olympic track athlete had been stripped from her Big Ten female athlete award Tuesday.
Suzy Favor Hamilton was involved in Olympics competitions in 1992, 1996, and 2000. She became one of the top athletes in Wisconsin and was awarded by Big Ten's female athlete of the year three years in a roll between 1988 and 1990.
Suzy Favor Hamilton's name will no long appear on the list of Big Ten female athletes after talks between the league and Wisconsin.
The 44-year-old Suzy Favor Hamilton had been living a double life. Naming herself as Kelly Lundy, she was involved in an escort service, and charges extra fees for sexual acts. She reportedly charged her clients up to $900 per hour for her services.
The olympic athlete had publicly admitted the scandal and claims that prostitution was her 'coping mechanism' for mental illness. She has reportedly been seeking counsel of a psychologist for a few weeks before she became honest about the actions.
