Rumors about Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen's divorce seemed to have died down. What could be the real reason behind the speculations in the first place?
Earlier this year, Korea Portal reported that Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen have been struggling with their marriage. The couple, who has two daughters, was said to be planning to have a divorce.
Last December, "The Tonight Show" host took to Instagram to share a photo of his family enjoying the holidays. "Thank you to the nicest people at Serendipity 3!!! Starting a new family tradition," he wrote.
The picture showed Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen, along with their daughters Winnie and Frances, as they shared a cup of frozen hot chocolate.
Fallon and Juvonen have been married for eight years. Speculations on their separation continue to plague the couple.
The publication noted that rumors on Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen's divorce began when the "Tonight Show" host got a severe finger injury, named "ring avulsion." This nearly prompted doctors to cut off his ring finger.
"I tripped and fell in my kitchen on a braided rug that my wife loves and I can't wait 'til I burn it to the ground," Fallon explained. "And I tripped and fell and I caught my fall and I'm getting up and my finger's sideways."
There were reports, though, that the accident was caused by Jimmy Fallon's problem with alcohol. According to CDL, the host was also cheating and partying with "two young hot women."
Sources told The Hollywood Gossip that Jimmy Fallon has become "a mess." "Everything you've heard [about his behavior] is true," a Manhattan bartender said.
NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt defended "The Tonight Show" host during the Television Critics Association's semi-annual press tour last January.
"He doesn't have a drinking problem that any of us know about," Greenblatt said. "We are always worried about his safety and health and yeah, there's been conversations [sic] about that, [but] the stories are exaggerated about all of it."
