OG has reigned supreme in the "Dota 2" Manila Major tournament. They are the first team to win Valve "Dota 2" Majors twice.

PCGamesN reported that OG claimed victory in the "Dota 2" Manila Major tournament as they defeated Team Liquid. The latter defeated Newbee earlier in the day.

OG previously won the first "Dota 2" Major by Valve in Frankfurt last year. This time, they home $1.1 million from the prize pool. Team Liquid got $405,000.

The publication added that Team Liquid was able to fight their way to the finals through the lower bracket after they were knocked down on the opening day of the "Dota 2" Manila Majors by MVP Phoenix.

From that point onwards, every match went 2-0 in favor of Team Liquid. However, they still seemed to be no match for OG who has had a solid roster for a year now.

"Friendship conquers all," OG captain Tal "Fly" Aizik said. Apparently, the stability of their players has helped with their victory.

OG will go to The International 2016, which is already set for August. The prize pool is now at $11 million and is expected to continue its increase. Last year's prize pool reached $18 million from crowdfunding.

According to Yahoo News, this is the second Major where Team Liquid finished second place. They are expected to play "hungry and angry" at The International 2016.

Bleacher Report noted that OG's "Dota 2" Manila Major victory was not surprising. What was shocking, though, was the difficulty faced by OG, Team Liquid, Newbee and LGD as they battled to get to the top four.

Newbee and LGD took the third and fourth places, respectively. OG was the overall victor while Team Liquid came in second.

Last week, LGD was sent to the lower bracket by Malaysia's Fnatic early in the "Dota 2" Manila Major tournament. Also, while OG has had exceptional performance this season, there are still a lot of teams that can beat them at The International 2016.
