Oldest Man Alive: Tips On How To Get Pass 112 (Bananas, Crossword Puzzles, and What Else?)

The world's oldest man took the Guinness World Record title and shared with the world his insights on how to get to his own age.
Salustiano Sanchez-Blazquez took the title when he is 112 years old, after an older gentleman in Japan had passed away at the age of 116, Jiroemon Kimura. The new title holder was born in 1901 in Spain and now lives in Grand Island, New York.
When interviewed, Sanchez-Blazquez told the Guinness World Records officials that he "does not feel he has accomplished anything special because he happens to be living longer than other men."
However, summer-born personality does know the way to get pass 112: With a daily consumption of Anacin and bananas, the man now does gardening and crossword puzzles throughout the day. Nightly games of gin rummy is a must while spending time with friends.
After emigrating to Cuba at the age of 17, the coal-mining gentleman was able to turn his life around in 1920 when he moved to the U.S. The Niagara Falls area in New York fostered his life with his wife Pearl in 1934.
The oldest man alive has two sons, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Guinness reports that they are happy and proud of their ancestor who can remember the days when the 18th century began.
Misao Okawa, a woman in Japan, has become the oldest person alive in the world after Kimura had passed away. She is the third oldest verified Japanese person ever.
