Can Artificial Intelligence Surpass Humans? Billionaire Invests In AI Tech To Make People Live Longer

Humans have always toyed with the idea of building machines that has human-like intelligence and can be used for almost anything. Many people are scared of the fact that there is a possibility that AI's can replace humans. Elon Musk even mentioned that humans will be like pets to AI's, however billionaire Masayoshi Son is excited by the possibilities of it.
Can Artificial Intelligence Surpass Humans?
SpaceX and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk believes that human intellect is weak. He further says that humans can be likened to a house cat compared to AI. He said, "I don't love the idea of being a house cat, but what's the solution?" said Musk. "I think one of the solutions that seems maybe the best is to add an AI layer. Just as your cortex works symbiotically with your limbic system, your third digital layer could work symbiotically with you."
He agrees that AI is good in helping cure diseases and solve worldwide problems. However, he thinks that humans need to implant a neural lace to compete with the intelligence of the machines of the future. It sounds futuristic but apparently, scientists are already developing an IRL neural lace.
Charles Lieber from Harvard University who is also part of the project said, "We're trying to blur the distinction between electronic circuits and neural circuits. We have to walk before we can run, but we think we can really revolutionize our ability to interface with the brain."
Billionaire Invests On AI Tech
"The singularity, if you misuse it, could be super dangerous. But if you use it in the right way, it will help people live longer, have a more productive life, have more fun, no more accidents on the highway," says Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son.
The world's 82nd richest man has recently invested in ARM Holdings who has developed chips for almost all the phones available today. These chips will help spread AI and eventually reach a so-called singularity. By investing in Artificial Intelligence he says, "This deep learning will make us super smart. This will jump-start our evolution on the earth."
