The highly popular Korean TV series "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" is nearing its finale. The show's Episode 19 and 20 is airing soon, and it is slated to be most exciting and heartbreaking of the series.
"Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" Episode 18 Recap
The episode opened with a confrontation between Princess Yeon Hwa (Kang Han Na) and Hae Soo (Lee Ji Eun). Yeon Hwa told her that she will now be Queen but Hae Soo refuses to believe the news unless it came from King Gwangjong himself. Yeon Hwa explained to her that the King would get dethroned if he does not marry her. She further said that the two of then could instead co-exist with each other.
On the other hand, King Gwangjong (Lee Joon Gi) and Prince Wang Wook (Kang Ha Neul) were discussing intently. The King explained to Prince Wang Wook that he rose to the throne despite his scar and that he should be the one to pick who he marries.
Eventually, because of several incidents within the episode, the King made Yeon Hwa his Queen. Hae Soo, however, still promised that she would remain by his side. The episode ended with Prince Wang Wook still plotting against the King. Hae Soo, on the other hand, shares the pain from the murder of her sister.
"Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" Episode 19, 20 Spoilers
Several reports pointed out that Hae Soo wanted to leave the palace. It is rumored that Prince Wang Wook will tell King Gwangjong that he was supposed to marry Hae Soo. However, when Hae Soo was confronted about this, the King learned the truth and had Wan Wook arrested for treason. He will have to beg the mercy of his brother to let him live in the next two episodes.
It is also speculated that Hae Soo will eventually marry Wang Jung as a way out of the palace. But another interesting speculation is that though Hae Soo cannot be Queen, he will still end up with the King, but only as a mistress.
