A family has 12 boys in Rockford, Miami, with Tucker Ray Schwandt joining the bunch last August 4.

Kateri and Jay Schwandt are now proud parents to yet another boy, despite the drive to "think pink" in hopes of Kateri finally giving birth to a daughter. The couple prefers not to get a gender test each and every time she gets pregnant, which has been every other year for the last 20 years.

Husband Jay shares: "I never imagined I'd be sitting here with my 12th child." Wife Kateri adds, "We didn't know what he would be when he was first born. We don't find out. It's always a boy, but it's always a surprise."

Tucker's middle name stems from his grandpa, Ray who shares the same birthday as the little angel. His siblings were more than happy to pitch in on the naming game, "We almost had an Elmo," Jay says.

Before the family had 12 boys, the couple met and married when they were just 18 soon after finding out she was pregnant. Jay was studying to become a lawyer in Cooley Law School white Kateri was taking her masters in social work. Now, Teri is a full time mom, catering to an everyday rough housing, "Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a locker room."

On how she handles a dozen boys, the couple's 21-year old son Ty says, "I know how to manage time and manage a schedule and make sure kids get where they need to be and get picked up when Mom forgets every now and then." He also shares that he's picked up quite a number of life skills just by helping to raise his now 11 brothers.

While the family has 12 boys, they're not entirely opposed to having more. Jay hopes that "13 will be the charm" and that they are able to finally have a baby girl.
