As Electronic Arts concentrate on "The Sims 4: City Living" development, the company confirms no further work has been done yet with "The Sims 5". In other reports, the shutdown of the fifth installment is heavily argued, and, it's not a good news for the fans. Many awaits for the next EA installment of the game with a more 'in-time' feature.
Initially, "The Sims" series was well received by the masses, it was extended into four franchises until 2004. The interactive game is about constructing houses, landscaping lands, decorating rooms, and especially building families. People rave's the game's interactive features on how they can lead the characters life.
Now, game's avid fans wish to extend the installment into a fifth franchise: "The Sims 5", yet according to Neuro Gadget, "the Sims team is not going to start working on another Sims game if the new paid DLC does badly." The latest game could be the last of its franchise then.
Since "The Sims 4: City Living" will be the basis of "The Sims 5" green light, it will take time. In a report by GamenGuide, Game producer Grant Rodiek made it clear that they don't have any plans about the game ("The Sims 5") for now. It was since 2014 EA announcement that they specifically spoke about it. And, that is 2 years since then.
The company's current focus is to revive the "The Sims 4' poor performance in the market. EA will need a lot of tweaking before the game can reach its satisfactory stage. So, "The Sims 5" reality speculations is still far fetched.
In that matter, everyone is left with "The Sims 4: City Living". For a while, the fans can just soothe themselves with it. Possibly, further developments will be added or finally, "The Sims 5" will be released.
