Another upcoming movie will be heading to theaters next year. "John Wick: Chapter 2", the sequel from 2014 action-thriller movie "John Wick" which was directed by Chad Stahelski will be heading to theaters on February 10, 2017. Starring Keanu Reeves who played the role as a legendary assassin who was forced out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of an international assassins' guild.
Rumors were surpassed that the upcoming sequel of "John Wick" would have its new chief villain. On an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly with Ian McShane, he revealed that Riccardo Scamarcio would be the new villain of "John Wick: Chapter 2" which reportedly play a head of security for female crime lord.
"They got this terrific Italian kid, Riccardo Scamarcio, who plays the chief villain, who's excellent, and we have a lot of stuff together. And the guy who directs it, Chad Stahelski, is really smart.", he said. "He's been Keanu's stunt guy for about 20 years and he's studied Muay-Thai.", he added.
It has previously reported that the original cast from "John Wick" Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo , Thomas Sadoski and Lance Reddick would be back on big screen. On the other hand, "John Wick: Chapter 2" has its new cast members including Ruby Rose, Peter Storemare and Laurence Fishburne who would be playing the role as an assassin known as "The Bowery King".
On its first sequel "John Wick" it earned a total $86 million worldwide against a budget of $20 million in which at the same month, Jon Feltheimer, Lionsgate CEO made an announcement which stated that "John Wick will be having multiple-title action franchise."
On October 26, 2015, principal photography of the film began in New York City. After a week, filming of "John Wick: Chapter 2" had taken place in Manhattan and Italy.
