"Roar", Katy Perry's latest song leaked last Saturday, which was supposed to be released yesterday.
While the star took the early unveiling lightly, tweeting, "Looks like there's a tiger on the loose!!!", Katy Perry can't seem to catch a break now that Roar is out too early. Reports say that previous plans were to release her latest song in a very public event in NY radio Z100, the Teenage Dream hit maker scrapped the plans to later on say it will be simply be available for download on iTunes.
To add more tough breaks, a drunk trunk driver hit one of Katy Perry's trucks meant to add the hype for her latest album set for October 22 last Friday but there were no casualties. If that's not enough, the star is getting mixed reviews for Roar, saying Katy Perry ripped off Sara Bareille's song Brave, to which Sara responded: "All love everybody. All love."
Butch Walker, the worldwide known music producer also gave a piece of his mind about Katy Perry's Roar, tweeting "The new KP song: Chorus is @SaraBareilles verse jumped on the 'Hey' train, and the teaser vid rips off Fall Out Boy. 3 counts of murder."- and it doesn't stop there.
EDM (Electronic Dance Music) producer Dillon Francis is pretty pissed, noting that KP stole the concept of her music video from his clip entitled Messages, which features Simon Lord. He tweets, "Damn first @official_flo steals @diplo's "butters theme" music idea now @katyperry steals my "messages" music video idea..What the fuck?" He goes on to post, "Legitimately this is so dope that @katyperry's director thought my video was good enough to rip off.
Roar is definitely causing quite a stir but loyal KP fans finds her latest single as one, if not her most empowering songs yet. Katy's long time collaborator Bonnie McKee says she is "really excited for the world to hear it because she's ... taking a new approach and continues, "And I don't want to say too much about it, but it's definitely different. It's definitely a little more mature than the 'California Gurls' of yesterday."
