A man and a woman and their 6-year-old son were found lifeless in their Pitman, New Jersey home Tuesday. Sources say it is unknown if the family was murdered or if they committed suicide. 49-year-old Francis Adolf was found dead with his 44-year-old wife Bonnie Lynn and their young son Frank Jr, also lifeless when authorities entered the home. The house located on Kenton Avenue is where the murder or suicide occurred, police say. Pitman mayor Russ Johnson was "Shocked," he told reporters. "Sad. This is my neighborhood. This is my town. Just very sad for the family."
The mayor, who also confirmed that the 6-year-old boy who died was his son's classmate at the local school in Pitman, said, "Everyone here in the district - especially those within the Memorial School community - is heartbroken about the loss of Frankie. We extend our sympathy to all of Frankie's family and friends, and to the wider community of Pitman, on this very sad day. I don't know how you explain to a 7-year-old what could possibly happen. You've got to do your best as parents but I don't know how I can possibly explain it to my kid - to any of those kids in that school."
The tiny New Jersey town only has 9,000 residents. It sits around 15 miles to the south of Center City. Reports say that the results of the autopsies will shed light to what really happened to the Adolfs.
According to some reports it appears that the 49-year-old family man murdered his wife and child first before he killed himself. Police say that they found a note written by Francis Adolf, Sr. To make things worst, the elder Adolf also took to social networking site Twitter and wrote: "Goodbye forever twitter. My marriage is too important. Pray for me, my wife and family. Love you all. Thanks"
