The Miami Heat is currently in a tough position dealing with a lot of issues on and off the court. The team is 4-10 ranking 13th in the Eastern Conference without its all-star power forward Chris Bosh. It appears that Bosh wouldn't be returning anytime soon, and if he did, NBA rumors are spreading that he would be in a Cleveland Cavalier's uniform joining Lebron James.
Bosh has been suffering from blood clots which resulted in his early exit last season. There is no specific timetable for his return but NBA rumors have it that he won't be playing for the 2016-2017 NBA season. But despite Bosh's inactivity, the Heat franchise is still obliged to pay his max deal.
According to the Inquistr, Bosh will still continue to receive his salary of $75.9 million despite being inactive for the remainder of the season. This poses a problem for the franchise paying a ton of money to someone who's not even playing.
The Heat needs to wait until Feb. 9 so that Bosh's salary would be covered by insurance according to the Sun Sentinel. The franchise could then waive him since there's no certainty about his return.
However, if Bosh is cleared to play this season, the Heat could trade him to a team which would need his services now, Boston Globe reported. It would give the Heat something in return rather than just lose him for nothing. The franchise could now focus on rebuilding its roster marking an end of the big 3 era of Bosh, James, and Dwayne Wade.
Now, there are rumors that Bosh might join James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. This would be a good opportunity for Bosh to have another championship run before his career ends. With multiple playoff and championship experience, he could come off the bench for Kevin Love as a stretch four and provide quality minutes.
The league is buzzing with lots of NBA rumors but this rumor involving Bosh could be the loudest one yet. It would be a sight to see Bosh and James reunited and have another shot at an NBA championship.
