'The Famous Jett Jackson' lead star Lee Thompson Young, 29, was found dead after committing suicide inside his North Hollywood apartment on Monday. The once-sensational actor shot himself to death, leaving no clues as to why he took his own life, state sources said.

Young is currently working in the TNT series 'Rizzoli & Isles' and he was even scheduled to appear on the taping of the show Monday morning, but when the staffers and crew grew tired of waiting for him, they began to contact his phone, but their efforts remained futile - it was only after asking the actor's landlord to check on him when they discovered his untimely death.

Police officer Sally Madera said that the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the 29-year-old actor dead upon arriving and examining the scene.

Although the responding authorities didn't recognize suicide as the cause of the actor's death, Young's manager, Paul Baruch, already released a statement, saying that he did commit suicide, minutes after the body was found. "It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning ... Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed."

On the other hand, Madera has not given official details on the actor's cause of death. She only shared that the LAPD robbery homicide authorities as well as the LA County Coroner Office are working hand-in-hand in investigating and probing deep into the high-profile death incident.

The executive producer of the show shared that everyone working for 'Rizzoli & Isles' was devastated after hearing the news on the former Disney star's passing. "He was truly a member of our family. Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him, both on- and off-screen, for his positive energy, infectious smile and soulful grace. We send our deepest condolences and thoughts to his family, to his friends and, most especially, to his beloved mother."

After his first major Disney show, the young actor pursued greater heights by playing diverse major to minor roles in both the big and the small screen. Some of his memorable projects include: Friday Night Lights, Scrubs, and Smallville.
