The Boston Celtics have been in the rumor mill since the 2016-2017 NBA season started. The franchise hasn't stopped looking for available high-caliber players to boost the team's chances of getting into the playoffs. Latest NBA trade rumors have it that the Celtics have plans of getting Paul George and Nerlens Noel.

The Celtics' primary target in the offseason was Kevin Durant but eventually lost him to the Golden State Warriors. Now, latest NBA trade rumors have been spreading about the availability of Paul George and the trade talks involving Nerlens Noel which gained the Celtics' attention.

According to Headlines & Global News, the Celtics might send three players to the Indiana Pacers to acquire George. The trade would be valid by sending Kelly Olynyk, Jae Crowder and Amir Johnson to the Pacers along with some future draft picks. It would cost the Celtics lots of key players but getting George is worth it as he has been averaging 20.8 PPG, 3.5 APG and 6.8 RPG this season.

ESPN also reported that the Celtics seem interested in acquiring Noel. With the Philadelphia 76ers having a crowded frontcourt, the Celtics could offer a point guard in the likes of Marcus Smart. It's a possible deal that would benefit both teams.

Noel has been involved in this season's latest NBA trade rumors and there are reports of the Portland Trailblazers, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks also showing interest in him. But the Celtics are the perfect fit for him and the franchise has players that the Sixers could really make use of.

Noel has yet to come back from a knee surgery and there have been no official reports for his return. But Noel has been assigned to the D-league recently and has been practicing with the Delaware 87ers which is a good sign of his progressing recovery.

These latest NBA trade rumors involving George and Noel is not far from happening. The trade deadline is just around the corner and these teams might strike a deal anytime soon.
