A match against the WWE Universal Champion - this is probably the most anticipated event in the upcoming "WrestleMania 33". With recent reports, however, things will get even more interesting as Kevin Owens is set to defend his title against two wrestlers in one match.
A WWE insider revealed that Kevin Owens will be defending his title against Sami Zayn and the returning Finn Balor in a WWE Universal title match on "WrestleMania 33" reports Inquisitr. According to the source, Zayn is being pushed by the WWE officials to do the match and added that the 32-year-old wrestler deserves the treatment given that he has been performing very well.
However, for Kevin Owens, it seems that he will need to defend his title, not from just two wrestlers in one match, but with another more familiar foe in a different match - that is Roman Reigns. According to Yibada, there are speculations that WWE officials want Owen to give up his title to Reigns in a match at Roadblock: End of the Line.
Although the plan is not yet officially confirmed by WWE, the source said that this might not be a good idea, given that WWE fans are kind of reluctant when it comes to Roman Reigns. This plan might also jeopardize the upcoming "WrestleMania 33" which a lot of WWE fans are already making presumed matches with. These include Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair and Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg.
Back to the Triple Threat Match rumor, WWE fans can only hope for it to happen as there is no any official confirmation yet and Finn Balor is still to return to action.
On the other hand, there is a much bigger surprise that WWE fans must tune in for should the rumors be true. It is said that the UFC superstar Ronda Rousey will be making another appearance in the squared circle to take on Charlotte Flair. However, the main reason as to Rousey's comeback has something to do with Stephanie's plotted revenge on Rousey. Check out the report by Jobs & Hire.
"WrestleMania 33" will take place on April 2, 2017, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
