Several theories and speculations proliferated all throughout the internet after Sony Entertainment's official debut of the latest sneak-peak of "The Last of Us Part II" during this year's PlayStation Experience. However, Sony has only revealed the littlest details about the new game which makes the speculators more excited about it.

In an article by IGN, Neil Druckmann, writer and editor of the Naughty Dog revealed only some details about the game's storyline and its difference to the first one. Druckmann confirmed that in this game, Ellie will be the lead star and also, the setting of the game is quite a few years compared to the first game, making Ellie 19 years of age this time.

Gamespot reported that the trailer of "The Last of Us Part II" starts in a gun shot in the woods before the logo Naughty Dog appears. Ellie, whose identity has been acknowledged through her first, starts to play the guitar and sing a song. Joel then appears in the scene while walking inside a house bombarded with lifeless bodies where Ellie stands. However, despite the revelation of Ellie's continuous appearance in the game, the fans who watched the trailer are still not certain whether Joel, one of the heroes in "The Last of Us" is still alive or is just appearing as a part of Ellie's memory.

On December 4, Druckmann said in his post on Twitter that Halley Gross will be joining the team as "The Last of Us Part II's" co-writer, Tech.Mic reported. Gross is known to be one of the writers of "Westworld", a hit series aired in HBO. Druckmann also teased the fans telling that the story of the game is intense as it is about "hate" and said that the sequel serves to be contradicting to "The Last of Us" which focused mainly on love.

Naughty Dog has yet to announce the target date of release of the game but according to several reports, the game will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 only. If you want to know more about "The Last of Us Part II" and other upcoming PlayStation games, check out Jobs & Hire.
