As the year nears to close, NBA analysts and writers are inclined to speculate of the possible trade-offs of the players between different teams. If both parties will agree to the trade-off, most of the teams will have new members to strengthen each team's gameplay. Trading of players will be announced on or before February next year.
Hoping to find solution to their on-going bench problem, the Washington Wizards are eyeing on getting Milwaukee Bucks' Centre Greg Monroe. This is according to a report in Basketball Insiders by Alex Kennedy. The report analysed the benefits that Wizardz can get from taking in the 26-year old cager. "I will throw one potential destination out there: What about Washington? As we just talked about, this is a team that is struggling and may be looking to mix things up," he wrote.
He added that he thinks the Wizards are really contemplating on getting Monroe. It can be recalled that Wizard's bosses had expressed trading for Monroe several times back when Monroe was still playing for Detroit Pistons. Now that the Wizards are having serious problems with their offense, there is more possibility that they be trading for Monroe. It can be noted that a report by Jobs & Hire reveals that Portland Trailblazers are keen in trading Monroe as well.
Washington Wizards continued their dismal performance and are less likely to compete in the playoffs. The team is currently ranked at the bottom half of the Eastern Conference. The appalling performance is credited to the poor performance of Washington's second unit. According to the team's centre Marcin Gortat, their team has "one of the worst benches in the league.
According to Yibada, the Wizards struggled throughout this season, especially on offense. They were always forced to play defensively thus had lesser chances of making a point. They did only average 23.4 points per game, which is the lowest in the entire league. They also had the worst net rating differential of only -12.6. Their defensive rating is just 109.5 points per game- also the lowest in the league.
