Just after weeks when Netflix released "Gilmore Girls", and highly anticipated in only four-episode, It has been rebooted in a title "A year in the Life" last Black Friday. A lot of loyal viewers remains upset on how its lead, 'Rory Gilmore' handles her career in journalism. The now 32-year-old character portrays to be aimless and irresponsible, in both romantically and professionally aspects.

Previous TV show's ended its final season by Rory turn downed a marriage proposal to get on a bus and report on then-candidate Barack Obama. Many watchers supported the belligerent, fresh grad from Yale, for searching attainment by chasing her dreams. In the said reboot, set 10 years later though, It seems to be that the protagonist, Rory, abandoned the things she's up to and everything she learned. She even picked up new bad habits to.

Lists of Rory's career mistakes in rebooted show "A year in life":

A freelancer without an anchor client. Maneuvering on your own is to make sure you have enough money coming in your pocket that helps covering basic expenses and any other less certain endeavors and that is Rule no.1. But Rory believes that clients are wont to do. And yes, she won't be left to cover the cost of the rent even a new underwear.

Spending unearthly number of time and money flying across the Atlantic, inadequately setting a book proposal together about an absent-minded alcoholic. It's fine that Rory has no idea how to put together a book proposal, for everyone has to learn somehow. But she goes in the worst possible way: Rory chose a chaotic subject and its unable to impose any structure of her on the subject. She spends like she has already an advance pay for it when she does not. Instead of asking a mentor for guidance or even doing a basic internet research, she goes travel around Europe. But it might be the real reason why she keeps going to London is because of her engaged ex-boyfriend who's located there.

She makes a call to editor to pitch a story. Is Rory have against email? She should be sending message and mustn't call anybody very sudden. Respect people's time.

She works for free, even though she's broke. Professionals whose working over 10 years into their careers shouldn't work for free - especially when that somebody don't have a reasonable request.

She falls asleep while having interview to the one of the source for that story she's making. You must stay awake while speaking to the most boring source you're talking to, your readers won't want to hear from them either. She sleeps then with another source. Does she want to end up like Zoe Barnes from Netflix's "House of Cards"?

She shows up embarrassingly unprepared for a job interview. The CEO says, "Sell me" she then repeats what CEO said, and asked back "Ok, we're selling?" After a minute in a frowned face, she admits, "I didn't have a pitch prepare".

Sandee told Rory to come up with some pitches for the articles she would write in a site. Rory can't. Sandee has been pursuing and flattering her always. She said that Rory is too good for the potential job. Sandee advices Rory that she have to bring her best to an interview. That includes a good copy of resume and of course a portfolio of her work. But she shows up empty-handed and worse, empty headed.

Rory throws a tantrum when Sandee called her after the interview. Rory's disappointment is normal. She had thought getting a job would be easy. But Rory's reaction to being disappointed is unprofessional.

Rory takes impulsively on the editorship of the Stars Hollow Gazette. She come up again for making a choice without having a plan, she takes a project she's isn't interested enthusiastic about. Again, she agrees to work for it for free and she's still broke supposedly.
