The latest "Ocean's" movie is truly a star-studded production. Cast includes Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock and even Rihanna.
Matt Damon will also appear in the movie. He starred the original trilogy as Linus Caldwell - the pickpocket. The "Jason Bourne" producer said: "The cast is phenomenal, I'm excited to see what they do." So long as he doesn't shout "Cut!".
It is official that Damian Lewis will join the cast of Warner Bros. Pictures' all-female "Ocean's Eleven" spin-off, "Ocean's Eight." According to International Business Times, the British actor will play as villain opposite Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock.
American Horror Story's Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Dakota Fanning, Awkwafina and Mindy Kaling have also signed into the project while Matt Damon is expected to have a quick appearance as Linus Caldwell, the character he portrayed in the Steven Soderbergh's trilogy. Gary Ross who directed "The Hunger Games" will be directing this all-female cast film. He's working from a script with co-writer Olivia Milch.
A few weeks ago, Lewis was spotted on the New York City set during the filming. This is the first time that his name was linked to the project a few weeks ago.
The details about reboot's complete plot still remain unveiled as of this time. Previously, it was reported that Bullock will play the role of ex-con Danny Ocean's (George Clooney in the original film) sister.
She recruits her right-hand woman (Blanchett) to build a team of thieves. Their planned mission is to steal a precious necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a wicked gallery owner. "Ocean's Eight" is yet to mark out a UK release date but is slated to reach US cinemas on 8 June 2018.
