The favorite crossover fighting game is back with the announcement and the release of the teaser video of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" in last week's PlayStation Experience. The most awaited comeback brought a new set of characters from both worlds to pitch against one another.
Together with its predecessors, "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will also go with the traditional tag team battle with another character that will serve as a backup. According to GamenGuide, the game will add another line of new characters that will be coming from the latest produce of Capcom and Marvel.
To boost the ranks of Marvel, characters from the latest movie adaptations like Groot from "Guardians of the Galaxy", Loki, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch and Purple Man from Jessica Jones will be included. On Capcom's side, Samanosuke Akechi from the "Onimusha" series, a Felyne from the "Monster Hunter", Regina from "Dino Crisis", Q from "Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike" and Leon S. Kennedy from "Resident Evil 4" will be the new recruits. Though unfamiliar to many, Capcom's characters will surely shock many as the series is known for incorporating interesting moves among Capcom characters.
Another feature of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is the inclusion of the Infinity Stones to the gameplay as reported by Travelers Today.
The iconic stones from the Marvel universe will affect the game differently depending on which the player will be using among Time, Reality, Space, Power, Mind and Soul Stones. No wonder the fourth installment of the "Marvel vs. Capcom" series is titled 'Infinite'.
At the end of the trailer, a figure sitting on a throne is seen with glowing purple eyes which appears to be the final villain of the story mode of the game. Considering that the game involves Infinity Stones, it really makes sense that Thanos will be the final boss in the game.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will be available to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and definitely the arcades where you can see the most hardcore players around. Watch out for more details as the "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will have a release date sometime on 2017.
