Miley Cyrus finally broke her silence and talked about her controversial 'We Can't Stop' solo and 'Blurred Lines' duet performance Robin Thicke at the MTV Music Video Awards, Yahoo! reported Tuesday.

According to the Disney 'Hannah Montana' actress, her main objective in heading to the show and performing for the crowd was to make some noise.

"Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, that's what you're looking for; you're wanting to make history," Miley said. "What's amazing is I think now, we're three days later and people are still talking about it. They're over-thinking it. You're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn't even think about it, 'cause that's just me."

Miley Cyrus reportedly got a big thumb's down from the people who has seen her performance at the VMAs. A lot of celebrities and personalities even clashed their opinions in defending and denouncing her controversial twerking in front of the much older Robin Thicke.

"Me and Robin (Thicke) the whole time said, 'You know, we're about to make history right now," Miley said.

Meanwhile, New York Daily News reported earlier that Thicke simply tweeted "that was dope" to Miley after their duet.

On the other hand, Justin Timberlake defended the singer-actress by saying, "It's been done before."

"I don't pay attention to the negative because I've seen this play out so many times," Miley said in the interview, adding, "How many times have we seen this play out in pop music?"

Amidst all the controversy, Miley assured her fans that her new image is nothing to be worried about. She even admitted that she's just "messed up."

"I have so many f---ing issues," Cyrus said. "I don't have a normal life ... I take a hiatus every now and again, but I'm not good at that."
