What Great Bosses Do & Why Everyone Loves Them

Being the boss is not easy; being a strict boss with a little bit of attitude that wants discipline and good results could possibly lead to being disrespected, hated and unmotivated employees. And by just being nice and giving everyone their ways can only result to being abused and probably still an unmotivated team.
However, there are a couple of things that bosses do to become a boss that everyone disliked to a boss that everyone loves and respects real quick. A good boss, according to Entrepreneur, admits his mistakes and apologizes for it publically. But one should always keep in mind that apologizing for mistakes, whether it is publically spoken or not, it would mean nothing if it's not sincere.
Be the boss that listens to his employees. People love people who pay attention and listen to them; listening is never that hard and it's actually one of the easiest ways to become everyone's favorite boss. An article from Inc. says that an ineffective boss is a boss that doesn't listen and appreciate his employees' opinion - it will only make the boss look like a know-it-all and surely, no one likes a know-it-all.
Show appreciation to the team. Thank them sincerely for their hard work. Praise their accomplishments and show them how effective they are in building the company up and making it grow even more. This will highly encourage them to do better than they did before.
Be the boss who can easily be approached, the one who knows how to accept criticism and feedbacks. A boss who is not approachable and intimidates the employees is not good. Everything that is mentioned in this article will not make any sense if the boss, in the first place, distances himself from his employees. A good boss does not think highly of himself - a good boss is down to earth and is a good person overall.
