Last week on “Vikings” Season 4, Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) went all over Kattegat to ask his people to accompany him to England. As the once-great leader’s reputation has been soiled, many chose to stay behind, knowing that the trip to Wessex is a suicide mission. Only the old and infirm rallied behind their former King, and in a surprising twist, Ragnar’s crippled son, Ivar (Alex Hogh Andersen) chose to accompany his father on his vengeance voyage.

But towards the tail end of the hour, Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) had a vision of Ivar being drowned while en route to England with his father. The Queen sees Ragnar tying Ivar to the mast before the boat capsizes, and he tries to free his son while both of them are struggling underwater. Will Aslaug’s vision come to pass in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 13?

According to the description of this week’s episode of "Vikings" titled “Two Journeys,” Ragnar and Ivar deal with an issue involving their crew, and it appears that the duo will have more things to worry about apart from the perils of the long journey. But it looks like Ivar will survive the trip as Andersen told TVGuide about what will happen once the pair sets foot in England.

“It’s just a father and son trying to pick up the pieces that they’ve lost and put them back together to become what they are: father and son,” said Andersen. The actor added that the scene was outstanding to shoot and that viewers will surely enjoy the upcoming episode.

Of the journey, Andersen said that his character has been waiting for this moment all of his life and that being with Ragnar has given Ivar hope. However, years of bullying and being misunderstood will cause Ivar to go on a violent streak in the future as he resorts to killing Christians in upcoming "Vikings" episodes.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ivar eventually becomes one of the most powerful Vikings of all time due to his sheer cunning. He also becomes known for his savage nature and wins more territory than any other Viking leader.

Despite Aslaug’s vision, it looks like fans will get to see more of Ivar in future episodes and seasons of "Vikings" series. While Andersen’s character will still be around, Fimmel won’t be staying long in the show as Jobs & Hire previously reported that Ragnar will eventually die in the current season.

“Vikings” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on History.
