The Orlando Magic are still searching for a consistent scorer that could put up big numbers on the Magic scoreboard day in, day out. The team is currently the second worst scoring team in the NBA averaging 96.2 points per game. This problem led to NBA trade rumors and with the trade season opening up, the franchise would probably make a few moves in the following weeks.
The Magic is just behind the Dallas Mavericks as the worst scoring team in this season and if the problem is not addressed, it could get worse. According to ESPN, NBA trade rumors have it that the team is preferably looking for a prolific scoring guard. With Victor Oladipo going to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Magic backcourt isn't that talented anymore.
There are a few backcourt players available in the trade market this year. There are NBA trade rumors spreading that Monta Ellis could be available since he's been moved to the bench following his injury. Lou Wiliams is also a good option but might be a hard catch since he's been productive for the Los Angeles Lakers, but if the Magic can offer Nikola Vucevic or Aaron Gordon, it may be possible.
But the best option for the Magic would be striking a deal with the Portland Trailblazers. There are a few NBA trade rumors that the Trailblazers are looking to boost its roster by adding either a big man or another star to help Damian Lillard.
In a report by Oregon Live, the Trailblazers might need to trade CJ McCollum if they would push through such a deal. This would be a good opportunity for the Magic to snatch McCollum and it could offer power forward Aaron Gordon, a rising star in the league.
In return, the Magic would get McCollum who's been a consistent scorer with an average of 22.4 PPG, 3.7 APG and 3.7 RPG per game. These NBA trade rumors would be a good deal that could work for both teams.
