Tarek and Christina El Moussa called off their wedding on Monday. New details and speculations about their relationship and current status emerged.
After seven years of marriage, the "Flip or Flop" couple announced their separation on Monday. Though, there were no concrete reasons provided, reports have found out some possible factors affecting it. According to reports, the changes in their relationship may have probably happened after the rumored Tarek's suicidal attempt.
It was reported on May 23 that he took out his gun and ran outside after an altercation. However, Tarek debunked the rumors defending himself that he was just going hiking. The handgun was for his protection from wild animals in the mountains. Christina also affirmed that he was never suicidal, and he has never threatened to hurt her.
Meanwhile, People indicated that the "Flip or Flop" hosts have already been separated for almost eight months since the incident. The couple also revealed that they have been dating other people but neither was ready to be in a relationship again. It was also indicated that their businesses will remain without plans of dividing their shares.
"We plan to continue our professional life together by being professional, by doing our jobs well, by being prepared and by working hard," they stated.
The "Flip or Flop" couple is also working out for the release of their book, "Flip Your Life", next year. Aside from their new book project, they are currently shooting for HGTV. Meanwhile, they explained that they still have no plans to file for legal divorce due to their children, Taylor (6) and Brayden (16 months).
"The most difficult part of the decision to separate was the kids. We want the best for them, and we're doing everything we can to ensure that."
Though Tarek and Christina did not talk about the reason for their sudden split, TMZ speculated that Christina might still be wearing her wedding ring. Since the couple has no plans of getting a divorce, there might still be a possibility of getting back together.
Tarek also gladly announced on his social media account that he is now cancer-free. Despite their complicated relationship, the "Flip or Flop" will still go on and Tarek and Christina will still work together.
