Thandie Newton walked down the red carpet for the Toronto Film Festival hand in hand with husband Oli Parker on Sunday, September 8, for the premiere of her new film Half of a Yellow Sun, held at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Newton, 40, was blooming (more so than ever, and no surprise!) in her Stella black and white Stella McCartney silhouette dress, her slight baby bump partially visible. Her husband, writer, director and producer Oli Parker opted for a simpler affair in a grey dress shirt and tie, and black jacket and trousers.

A spokesperson for Thandie Newton revealed the news as she popped up for the premiere: Newton and Parker are expecting their third child. A source tells US Weekly that the couple could not have been any happier, adding that people can barely tell that there is a bump just yet but that she has already been dressing different because of it. The conveniently strategic design of her dress hid the bump, but excited fans notice anything!

The couple have been happily married for fifteen years, and have two other children: Nico, who is 8 and ½, and Ripley who will be turning 13 this month.

Newton stars in the Nigerian drama film Half of a Yellow Sun, which is based upon a Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie novel of the same name, which tells the story of twin sisters Olanna (Newton) and Kainene (Anika Noni Rose). Other characters include Odenigbo (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor), an intellectual who eventually ends up marrying Olenna; Ugwu (John Bolega), their houseboy, and Richard (Joseph Mawle), Kainene's British lover. Much of the story takes place in Nigeria during the Nigerian-Biafran war, with its effects shown in the dynamic relationships of four people's lives-people from all social standings: a professor, a British citizen, and a houseboy among them.
