The trade season is open and the Miami Heat will most likely be included in this season's NBA trade rumors. It looks like the Heat's playoff hopes have died to have a 9-18 record this season. Hassan Whiteside is one of the few talented players left on the Heat roster but could be leaving anytime soon if the franchise decides to rebuild.
The Heat already started to rebuild this offseason by letting Dwyane Wade go to the Chicago Bulls. Currently, the team just has Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic running the offense but it's still not enough. According to Fox Sports, there are NBA trade rumors that these players could be trade pieces to land draft picks or get some fresh talent.
However, it looks like NBA trade rumors are leaning more to a Whiteside trade just because there's a big demand for big men this season. The Inquisitor reported that the Portland Trailblazers could be looking for a big man and Whiteside could be a perfect fit. The trade would send Whiteside to the Trailblazers and the Heat would get C.J McCollum in return.
But the Los Angeles Lakers would be a better fit for Whiteside since NBA trade rumors have been spreading that the Lakers currently need a center that could defend the rim and be the go-to-guy down the post. The Heat could trade for Ingram and get him would be a lot cheaper too since McCollum's salary would increase in the next few years.
The Lakers would need to send Timofey Mozgov as well so the deal would be valid. If these NBA trade rumors happen, it could greatly benefit both teams. The Lakers could increase its chances of landing a playoff spot this season or maybe next year and the Heat could get a young and talented player in Ingram.
The trade deadline is still in February and there's still a possibility for these NBA trade rumors to happen. Fans just need to wait for these two teams to make this deal happen.
