With the difficulty in seeking jobs nowadays, achieving a job that pays more than the average wage seems like a dream for people. But many things change as time passes by. The salary that reaches $150,000 is now given to a wider range of job categories.

Reports according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, stated that last year, the salary that a person with an average degree receives $60,000. So it would take years for a job seeker to take his average degree to the next level. Only one job tops the list that doesn’t require to be in the medical field.

Architectural and Engineering Managers, Marketing Managers, Financial Managers, Computer and Information Systems Manager, Pharmacists, Lawyers and Software Developers, Systems Software also makes the list, as reported by Huffington Post.

Meanwhile, people should know first and research what it takes to get that six-figure salary before engaging in such jobs that they just assume to achieve that $150,000 salary, according to CBS News. The average salary is achieved due to the training, certification and advanced education that a person puts efforts to take. Mostly, it's the amount of contribution an employee gives to the company. But this year, jobs in the medical field top the list.

Anesthesiologist ($258,100 on average). It would take four years undergraduate level, then four more years of medical school. There are more four years of residency, and a fellowship for another year, according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Surgeons ($247,520 on average). They perform surgery on people with diseases, deformities and injuries with invasive, minimally-invasive or non-invasive surgical methods. Surgeon falls on what you choose whether orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular and plastic surgery.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons ($233,900 on average). An internationally recognized practice of surgery. They diagnose and treat people with diseases and injuries on hard and soft tissues. Obstetricians and Gynecologists ($222,400 on average). They attend to women suffering from diseases especially those who had their reproductive systems affected. But mostly they provide health care pertaining to childbirth and pregnancy.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) ($180,700 on average). But it comes with the massive responsibility to oversee the success operations of the whole company. Microsoft CEO Bill Gates is the best proof that even none MBA graduates or even a person who holds not even a college degree can achieve the six-figure salary.
