Disney Channel has just confirmed the cancellation of one of the hit shows on television, "Girl Meets World." The spin-off series of "Boy Meets World" has been Rowan Blanchard's home for three seasons. How much did she earn per episode?
Rowan Blanchard, who is only 14 years old now, has a net worth of $3 million, according to CelebrityToob. The teenage star has become a household name with her "Girl Meets World" role as Riley Matthews, the daughter of Cory and Topanga.
In RantNow's list of top 15 child stars with the highest paycheck in 2015, it was revealed the Rowan Blanchard already earned $475,000. In a previous report by Business Insider, TMZ learned that the actress is making $10,000 per episode of "Girl Meets World" for the first season. If that's accurate and she got the same rate in the next two seasons, Blanchard might have brought home $690,000 from the series, which is ending after 69 episodes.
Blanchard's career kicked off in 2010. She was 5 at that time when she was cast as Mona's daughter in "The Back-up Plan" starring Jennifer Lopez, per IMBD. Then she got a role in "Dance-A-Lot Robot" as Caitlin during the same year. Her other credits include "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D" (2011) and "Invisible Sister" (2015).
While no official reason was given for the cancellation of "Girl Meets World," some attributed it to the show's dropping ratings. According to reports, the premiere episode of Season 3 only garnered 1.5 million viewers, a huge plunge from Season 1's 5.16 million viewers.
"It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over," GMW writers announced on Twitter. "I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty."
"Girl Meets World" series finale is airing on Jan. 20.
