Some of the most successful people in the world know that in order to do what they have to do, they’ve got to take care of themselves first. Being fit and healthy is a top priority for top executives, and most start their day by working out.
CNBC released an infographic created by Funding Circle that shows how 35 CEOs and founders of top brands stay in shape. The visual shows that while Richard Branson, Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk have different ways of keeping fit, they all have similar goals of being at the peak of health.
Here is how some of the most successful people in the world stay in shape.
Mark Zuckerberg
The father-of-one works out five times a week. In January 2015, Zuckerberg gave himself a physical challenge, which he called A Year of Running. On his Facebook page, he said that he aims to run a mile a day and “at a moderate pace,” less than 10 minutes of running a day. By July, the Facebook CEO finished his year-long challenge five months early, and he said that his fastest mile so far is 5:53.
Barack Obama
The President of the United States does a daily workout routine every morning, which involves some weights and cardio after he wakes up at 6:45 a.m. He also loves to play basketball and golf. During his term, he successfully quit smoking and has started eating healthier food.
Oprah Winfrey
The OWN Network founder has recently made headlines for losing more than 40 lbs. Winfrey told People that she lost the weight after 17 months on the weight watchers program and is down to a size 12. Apart from eating healthy, she does cardio six times a week and also does some strength training and meditation.
Bill Gates
The Microsoft co-founder does some cardio every day. According to Sleepypeople.com (via Time), Gates spends an hour on the treadmill and watches instructional videos from the Teaching company while doing so.
Richard Branson
Founder of Virgin Media Group has a varied workout routine. Branson lifts weights, swims, and does yoga. He’s also an avid runner and cyclist. He has completed a marathon and has his own charitable triathlon.
Elon Musk
The Paypal and Tesla founder works out at least twice a week. Musk typically goes on the treadmill and lifts weights to keep fit.
