You can come and say hello to the Hello Kitty Jet, which has finally descended into the United States on September 18.

The cute jet from EVA Airlines landed at the Los Angeles International Airport, and with it its trademark brand of cute, pastel in-flight features and amenities.

The airline, which is based in Taiwan, now offers three flights a week on the cute Hello Kitty-themed plane, which is covered, inside and out, with characters from the wildly popular Sanrio characters, which include not only Hello Kitty herself, but also Keroppi and My Melody (a little frog and bunny, for those unfamiliar with the plush and squishy characters).

Catering mostly to Hello Kitty fans, enthusiasts, and most likely small children, a potential passenger will expect to see more than 100 passenger-service items following with the Hello Kitty theme: Hello Kitty toilet paper, Sanrio-themed snacks, meals, Hello Kitty stamped cocktail toasters, napkins-imaginably heaven for anybody growing up surrounded by Hello Kitty.

EVA has a total of five similarly cute and colorful, but short-ranged aircraft that fly within Asia only. The Boeing 777-300 ER called "Hand-in Hand" is the first to be available to fly long distances such as the United States and the first to have a different design exterior.

Hello Kitty, who is a white bobtail cat with a red bow on her ear, was first introduced to Japan in 1976, and is one of the foremost embodiments of the Japanese kawaii (translation: cute) culture. She was created by Yuko Shimizu, and first appeared on a vinyl coin purse. Hello Kitty was intended to be British, as British culture had been trendy in Japan at the time.

Hello Kitty was also said to have had its origins from the Maneki Neko (the Beckoning Cat), which is better known to many as the cute little cat that sits in many Asian shops and homes, with one moving paw as if beckoning good fortune.
