According to CNBC, Chatri Sityodtong, a senior Muay Thai instructor and founder of ONE Championship, said that if not for MMA, he would not be the entrepreneur that he is today. Sityodtong also runs Evolve MMA, which is a leading gym for both MMA professional and amateur fighters. He owes his success to MMA.
Evolve caters diverse clients, its youngest member is a 4-year-old girl, while the oldest one is 75 years old. Discipline counts a lot in MMA training. It can instill humility, courage and the right work ethic. Aside from that, it gives you the desire to overcome challenges. And most of all, it will encourage you to improve for the better.
Sityodtong points out that those qualities are vital in everyone’s lives. It is applicable in family, work and even in love. It can help lead you to success. That is why for fighters who are very much committed to the sports, the mental results are very rewarding for them.
"After putting in thousands of hours into MMA, you end up battling yourself and overcoming insecurities. I wanted to quit so many times because I was failing, scared, or because someone else was better than me but you learn to get past those feelings," says Sityodtong.
