Paul George Extends Contract With Indiana Pacers Until 2019 for $80M [VIDEO]

If last season was any indication, the Indiana Pacers have become on of NBA's teams to watch. When the team was on the brink of going to the 2012 playoffs, many noticed that Paul George consistently proved himself to be a major contributor to the Pacer's success.
With the 2013 season just about ready to roll, its looking like Paul George may be spending a few more years with the Indiana Pacers after he signed a very lucrative extension to his current contract.
Paul George's contract stipulates that he should be a Pacer for about the next five years, up until the 2019 season. A whopping $80 million dollars is guaranteed to the player, and the figure could go up to about $90 million if he consistently plays well and finds himself in the All Stars or can rake in some MVP awards.
For now, it doesn't seem that the incentives to $90 million should be a challenge, as the baller has already earned 2012's Most Improved Player award. It was also in the 2012 season that George made an appearance at the all-star game. In that particular season, he managed to come away with an average of 17.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists for every game that he played.
For 2013, the Indiana Pacers have big goals. Among them is to topple over defending champions Miami Heat, who defeated them in game 7 of last season's finals. The Pacers have done a good job securing key players that will hopefully allow them to do this. Besides extending Paul George's contract, they have also secured David West and Roy Hibbert. With three very good players firmly in place, the Indiana Pacers should be in a very solid position to make a run for the NBA finals title.
